Policies

Magnet Safety:

  • The neodymium magnets that we use are extremely strong.  They must be handled with care to avoid personal injury or damage.
  • They can affect pacemakers, ICDs and other implanted medical devices.  Many of these devices are made with a feature that deactivates it with a magnetic field.  Therefore, care must be taken to avoid inadvertently deactivating such devices.  The strong magnetic fields can damage magnetic media such as floppy disks, credit cards, magnetic I.D. cards, cassette tapes, video tapes or other such devices.  They can also damage televisions, computer monitors, mobile devices and other electronic equipment.  Avoid placing the magnets near electronic appliances.
  • Due to the magnet high strength, our products are not intended to be dragged or moved while the magnets are engaged on the aquarium as there may be a risk of damaging your aquarium.
  • Strong magnet pose a pinching hazard.  Care and caution must exercised when handling our magnets to avoid injury or harm.  Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Do not allow the magnets to engage each other freely(slam together).  The strong pull force may cause injury or damage the product or aquarium.
  • Please use extreme care and due diligence while using and handling our products.

Shipping:

  • It is our policy to automatically issue the difference between the shipping amount charged and the actual cost of shipping.  Shipping costs fluctuate between couriers and we will only charge you for the actual cost.  The difference will be refunded to you via Paypal (our credit card processor).
  • Please allow 2-3 days from the order date for shipping.  We generally ship 3-4 times a week and your order may be fall between shipping days.  This allows us to maximize our production efforts to continue to provide you with highest quality products.

Product Warranty:

Zen Reef LLC guarantees our products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal use and conditions, for a period of one (1) year for the original purchase date.
  • We will repair or replace the defective product(s) within the warranty period.
  • Shipping fees are to be paid for by the customer.
  • Please email us at info@zen-reef.com for an RMA number before shipping the defective product(s) back to us.

Live Arrival Guarantee(Livestock Only):

We only ship livestock with overnight***OVERNIGHT SHIPPING MUST BE SELECTED–free shipping and ground options only apply to our dry goods.  In the rare event that your livestock arrives DOA(Dead on Arrival), the following requirements MUST be met in order for us to honor the live arrival guarantee:
    • -You must be present to receive the shipment on the FIRST attempt of delivery.
    • -Pictures of the dead specimen still sealed in our bag must be emailed to info@zen-reef.com within 2 hours of the first attempt of delivery.
    • -Do no discard the DOA coral as we may request to have it sent back to us.
    • -Please allow us adequate time to evaluate the situation. Store credit minus shipping charges will be issued upon acceptance of the DOA claim.
You may not be covered under our Live Arrival Guarantee if:
  • -You are not present to receive the shipment on the first attempt of delivery.
  • -Your shipping address is different from your billing address.
  • -You request special delivery options. (Hold at Location, No Signature Required, Hold for Pick UP, ect..)

Dry Goods Return an Exchange:

  • -We accept returns or exchanges on dry goods within 14 days of purchase.
  • -Items must be in new unused condition to be eligible for an exchange or return.
  • -Please contact us for an RMA prior to sending an item back to us.
  • -Buyer will be responsible for return shipping costs.
  • -No returns or exchanges on custom orders.
